Fabrication Leader Strives Toward Environmental Responsibility

Installation of Our New Energy Efficient Lighting System

LGS Technologies, in a committed pursuit to enhance our manufacturing facility, is proud to announce the installation of our new, energy-efficient lighting system. The project included the conversion of existing 400W metal halide to (4) lamp T5 fixtures. This strategic investment is due in part to our recognition that energy efficient lighting measures represent one of the most quantifiable savings in energy consumption.

While the U.S. Department of Energy has long recognized the positive environmental impact of reducing these harmful emissions, recent emphasis on fiscal sustainability backed by local utility support through incentivized energy efficient projects has further encouraged us to consider the benefits of “going green.”

“We project an estimated annual savings of approximately $16,771.00 in electrical cost savings, according to LGS President Bill Cline, that will only ultimately be passed along to our customers.”

Further benefits highlighted by President Bill Cline in the lighting project include improved overall company safety and morale.

LGS will continue to embrace industrial and economic changes through, in part; progressive investments in production equipment and enterprise resource planning software, ongoing efforts to better reflect our increasing capabilities and evolving customer base.
